PREPARATION OF THE SURFACE: remove old paint if not anchored well or powdered and wash with appropriate soaps. Then apply an appropriate fixative or a coat of Primer 400 diluted 50% with water. After about 4 hours at 20°C, proceed with the application of Meteore 8.
PREPARATION OF THE PRODUCT:
Dilution: ready to use.
PRODUCT APPLICATION:System: stainless steel trowel and spatula
Coats: 1
APPLICATION CYCLE:
Spatula-Stroke Effect: Apply a coat of METEORE 8 gradually over a surface of approx. 1 - 2 m2. Use the PV 43 Trowel and apply 10 - 15 cm long irregular strokes in all directions. While METEORE 8 is still wet, create semi-smooth relief and striped spatula strokes using the PV 43 Trowel, with 5 - 10 cm long strokes in all directions. After about 4 hours at 20°C smoothen with 220 / 260-grit sandpaper to remove any irregular clots and joints. Subsequently apply two different-coloured coats of LAME’. Between the first and second coat of LAME’, wait at least 2 hours at 20°C. LAME’ must also be applied with the PV 43 Trowel in all directions, leaving very little product on the surface.
Coverage: METEORE 8 roughly 1 litre for 3 - 4 m2; LAME’ roughly 1 litre for 16 - 20 m2 (one colour coat depending on the thickness of METEORE 8 applied).
Veined Effect (Vertical, Horizontal, Oblique: Apply a coat of METEORE 8 gradually over a surface of approx. 2 - 3 m2. Use the PV 43 Stainless Steel Trowel and apply irregular strokes in the chosen direction. While METEORE 8 is still wet, create vertical streaks (or in another direction as desired) using the PV 84 Spatula and apply 20 - 35 cm long, soft stokes. After about 4 hours at 20°C smoothen with 220 / 260-grit sandpaper to remove clots and any irregular joints. Subsequently apply two different-coloured coats of LAME’. Between the first and second coat of LAME’, wait at least 2 hours at 20°C. LAME’ must also be applied with the PV 43 Trowel in the direction of the streaks, leaving very little product on the surface.
Coverage: METEORE 8 roughly 1 litre for 3 - 4 m2; LAME’ roughly 1 litre for 16 - 20 m2 (one colour coat depending on the thickness of METEORE 8 applied).
Smooth Effect: Apply one coat of METEORE 8 using the PV 43 Trowel with 15 - 20 cm long strokes in all directions. Wait for METEORE 8 to tighten up then smoothen it slightly using the clean Trowel with strokes in all directions. After 4 hours at roughly 20°C, smoothen the surface using 220 / 260-grit sandpaper to remove any irregular clots and joints then apply two different-coloured coats of LAME’. Between the first and second coat of LAME’, wait at least 2 hours at 20°C. LAME’ must also be applied with the PV 43 Trowel in all directions, leaving very little product on the surface.
Coverage: METEORE 8 roughly 1 litre for 10 - 11 m2; LAME’ roughly 1 litre for 35 - 40 m2 (one coat for each colour depending on the thickness of the underlying coat).
Burano effect: Apply the first coat of METEORE 8 with a stainless steel trowel PV 43 with 30 - 40 cm long stroke of trowels in all directions and leaving a thin layer covering the surface. When METEORE 8 is getting dry, smooth it slightly with a clean trowel to avoid subsequent sanding. After 2 - 3 hours at 20 ° C, apply the second coat of METEORE 8 following the same technique described above. Wait another 3 - 4 hours at 20 ° C for METEORE 8 to become dry and proceed with the application of a coat of LAME 'with 5 - 10 cm spatulas (or as the client wishes) always using the PV 43 stainless steel trowel and paying attention not to leave empty spaces.
Yield: METEORE 8 about LT. 1 for 5 - 5.5 m2; BLADES ’about LT. 1 for 16 - 20 m2 (one coat based on the thickness of METEORE 8 applied).
NB: For light shades (non-coloured METEORE 8) we recommend applying LAME’ using the PV 91 Plastic Trowel
